They are paired with a collar, flat ring or weld ring and screwed to the pipe instead of being welded. They are used in pipelines in sewage treatment plants, for instance.
They are produced from plates, forgings or coiled from a flat bar. Flat flanges are commonly used in pipeline connections in various branches of industry.
Welding neck flanges are produced from forgings. They are usually used in pressure pipe installations where reliability is essential.
Blind flanges are made from plates or, if client states so, from a forging. They are fastened with screws at the end to seal a pipeline.
Pressed flanges provide an alternative for standard loose flange. They are as durable as loose flanges but at the same time definitely lighter and cheaper.
